The Dakota Valley Panthers took to the links on their home course Thursday, Aug. 24 at Two Rivers Golf Course in North Sioux City. Squads for the varsity and junior varsity had impressive showings to make it a winning day for all.

Panthers attack Gazelles

Dakota Valley started the volleyball season strong with a straight set victory over the Yankton Gazelles. The Panthers dominated their opponents with match scores of: 25-- 17, 25-16 and 25-14. Senior Logan Miller showed leadership at the setter position and the net. She ended the evening with 22 assists and 4 kills. Panthers record win in the Dome

Friday night lights happened under the DakotaDome in Vermillion, SD for the Dakota Valley Panthers as they faced the Tanagers Aug. 26. It was a victorious evening for the Panthers who drew a line in the win column to start the high school football season.

Boys begin a new era

It was an exciting time this past week for the Panther boys soccer team as they began their season and brought forth the firs-ever era of boys soccer at Dakota Valley. It was a busy week for the Dakota Valley girls soccer program. The squad had three games in five days and had good showings at each match. Langle places 3rd in golf invite

Elk Point-Jefferson’s Carter Langle took 3rd place individually at the Dell Rapids golf invitational Aug. 22. On the par 71 course, Langle shot 6 over ending with a score of 77. The second place finisher was Dakota Munger of Chamberlain with a 74 and Eli Anema of Sioux Falls Christian was medalist with a 71.
