Margarito Torrez was born on January 25, 1931, to Teresita and George Torrez in Abo, New Mexico, a small village in the mountains east of Albuquerque. He passed away on May 5, 2024, while hospitalized in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Maggie was 93 years old. He was the third born child of eleven siblings, Vicente, Mariano, Paublita, Catalina, Jose, George Jr, Eloísa, María, Luciano and Gilberto. In addition, he has an adopted brother, Lonnie.

Kimberly Kay (Trausch) Kelling, aged 66, of Sioux City, IA, passed away on January 6, 2024 in Omaha, NE following a long illness. Kim was born on June 21, 1957 in Fort Dodge, IA. She grew up on a farm in rural Eagle Grove and attended Eagle Grove schools. In the 1970s she and her husband Rodney moved to California, where they spent many years. After the birth of their first child, Lauren, they moved to McCook Lake, SD to begin raising their family. The birth of their second child, David, followed soon after.
