Clements recognized for 30 years of service

The list of accolades for Dakota Valley Activities Director Bill Clements is always growing. Recently, the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA) recognized Clements with an award honoring the longtime Panther administrator for his 30 years of service.

Prairie Park to have new equipment

At the last meeting, the Dakota Dunes Community Improvment District Board of Supervisors instructed District Manager Andrew Tramp and board member Janet Finzen to bring back playground designs and proposal costs to be discussed at the next meeting.

FCCLA attends state leadership conference

Panther high school students, involved with Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), attended the state leadership conference on April 21-23. The event was held in Sioux Falls and allowed members to showcase their talents in the subjects of Family and Consumer Science (FACS).

Headid announces run for Sheriff

Richard Headid of North Sioux City has officially announced his candidacy in the race for Union County Sheriff. Headid, a graduate of West Sioux High School in Hawarden, joined the North Sioux City Police Department as a police officer in March of 1995.

10 years later – Cubby’s then to now

It’s been 10 years – 10 years of upgrades, customers and being a part of the community. In 2014, De Lone Wilson purchased the Dunes General Store in Dakota Dunes, SD and transformed it into the Cubby’s at the Dunes.
