The North Sioux City Fire Department conducted ice rescue training on McCook Lake Saturday, Feb. 11. The firefighters chose a location off of the Izaak Walton League docks that was far enough from shore to better conduct the training. The location was chosen carefully in a spot that had less traffic from those that utilize the lake for recreational activities. The ice was 12-14 inches thick and…
